Cambridge has some of the best sunset scenes.
I’ve been wanting to go high up for some sunset/sunrise photos for quite a while now, but these places aren’t the easiest to get access to in Cambridge, due to its lack of highrise buildings and pretty strict access rules by the colleges. Last week I was lucky enough to get a Johnian to take me up to the chapel roof, woah what a view up there! It wasn’t the easiest to get up there as the spiral staircases were incredibly narrow and restrictive (at some point you really feel like you are going into holes, not recommended for anyone claustrophobic, but the effort was definitely worth it.
It was a reasonably clear day and we went up there slightly late than planned. So I kind of missed the golden hours and the skies were just good in a plain way. Next time I hope I could go on a day with good lights and a bit more clouds for some more dramatic photos. Still very pleased though!
